The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Twenty-five years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great estate. Just a 10 minute drive from us, surrounded by 13 acres of lush tropical gardens it is a visitor attraction where you can run wild, explore and release your inner animal.

St Michaels Mount

Just 30 mins drive from us, The Eden Project, an educational charity, connects us with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work towards a better future.

This famous tourist destination in Cornwall, is nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to our striking contemporary gardens, summer concerts and exciting year-round family events. Beaches

We are so lucky to be spoilt with 4 beaches all within 4 miles of us, Holywell Bay, a totally unspoilt National Trust haven of dunes to explore (dog friendly all year round), Crantock Beach, another National Trust Beauty, with a couple of fabulous spots to reward yourself with a well earnt cake (C-Bay being our favourite), and a family favourite due to more amenities being available and the all-important fish and chips or pasty at Perranporth Beach.  Not forgetting the famous Fistral surfing spot, where you can take in some of Rick Steins Fish and Chips whilst admiring the amazing wave riders.
